First U-Pick Day!

So the other day I went to an organic farm in Oak Glen California! I had never been apple picking before so I was extremely excited to take apples right off the tree! Can’t get any fresher than that, right?

I had such a great time! I can’t believe more people don’t do this! Minus the fact that one of my apples had an unexpected guest in it. I found a worm crawling across my counter when I brought the apples home! Now he lives in my complex’s bushes 🙂 It’s such a great idea for a date or day with the family. You can get fresh apples (and other produce), have a great time outside, and it’s free! Of course you have to pay for the apples.. but this cost would just replace what you would normally spend at the grocery store!

I walked away with 15 bright green Granny Smith apples and 3 plump pumpkins 🙂 I can’t wait to make some yummy recipes with these babies! Not to mention, the farm was selling unsweetened apple cider. WOW! I LOVE that stuff!

Fall is my favorite time of the year. It’s cooler (better for runs outside), squash comes into season, and people seem to just be in an all around better mood! What’s your favorite part about Fall?

I’ve been living around the world for several years now. I’ve already experienced the oriental lifestyle of China, vibrant culture of Barcelona, shabby to chic of Paris, Confucian ways of the Korea peninsula (South, not North of course) and now the easy-going vibe of Los Angeles. I’m an advocate of the minimalist lifestyle because I love being able to pack up my things and go in a moment’s notice. I’ve found a great work, life, and spiritual balance that’s ideal for me.
